Couch to 5K

A taste of my own medicine!

After effectively telling ra220 to just get out there and run, I then had to give myself a kick up the bum! I really really didn't feel like it this morning, my legs were aching, I felt a bit queasy and head-achey (Oooh could that be a teensy hangover?)

It's so windy here recently, natures punishment for last week when I commented that the weather doesn't affect me on Ully's post lol! I'm doing an Asics 10k plan which ramps up this week. I did so well on the shorter distances last week, I may have overdone it! I also think I might have started out too fast, I just wanted to get it over with this morning.

Still, I managed 4.8K in 40 mins, hardly going to challenge Mo, but I'm chuffed! I've only done 5K twice before, 47 & 44 mins respectively, so it's in the right direction!

Two days off now hooray!

Well done Curlygurly. A well earned rest now then. It was really windy out today here as well. Great running with it but hard running against.

There are so many bugs going round at the moment, you may have a touch of one of them. Well done for the bumkicking though - you are an inspiration to many!

Well done - it's pretty difficult out there in this wind , but I think I did experience the benefit of a tail wind for a bit yesterday!

Of course a hangover isn't helpful....

Well done Curly ! Go you!! If you have a plan it takes the indecision out of things doesn't it. You just do what you're told and tick it off.

Enjoy your rest days and then get back out there and nail the next one

That's very true MW, and the next couple of weeks are the same, two 4.8Ks like I've just done then a nice short 3.2K.. can't see how I'm going tom get to 10K like that, but we'll see!
