I was not feeling it this morning. OK but just not massively motivated. About 5 minutes in I was seriously considering turning around and going home π But then I decided I might as well just get on with it. A run is a run and all helps build up the stamina for the next good one. So on I plodded. Around the half way mark I realised that the 40 minute pacer was ahead of me but probably within reach on the current downhill stretch so I upped my pace a bit. Not long after I got chatting to a random stranger and that took my mind off how bad this run was, and probably 500m from the end her much faster friend who had finished ages ago, joined us and spurred us on to go just that little bit faster. I couldnβt quite keep up but finished in a very respectable 37:04 according to Strava. A PB by 64 seconds π
Funny how sometimes the bad ones turn out to be good after all!!
