Starting week 2

Hi

I was wondering whether the majority of people run 3 or 4 times a week? In week 1 I ran 3 times Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and was wondering whether this would be ok as a routine each week. I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old so hard to get out more often!

Thanks!

When doing c25k it was 3 times a week for me. I tried to keep it to a mon/wed/fri.

This gives a days rest and 2 glorious days at the end of the week. If you can do that you should be fine. 4 runs a week may be a little too much at this stage. You dont want to risk injury.

Good luck

First of all well done for finishing week 1!

Do what feels good for you, and 3 times is plenty, if you are not used to exercise your body does need days rest. Also in the program there are 3 runs per week...

Until recently I ran 2 or 3 times since I needed at least 2 days rest inbetween runs - now that I am fitter and I feel I can, I run every second day, which makes some weeks at 4 days and some at 3.

if it works for you then yeah , i used to do tue/thur and sat and still do , gives a 2 day break between weeks

you need to have the rest days , dont worry to much if you have to have more than a day in between :)

I mostly ran 3 times per week but sometimes did have an extra days rest in between if I thought I needed it.

Three times a week sounds fine, I find that now I'm doing the longer runs I have 2 days in between runs
