I greet Week 2 with a sort of cautious excitement. I was concerned as to the extent of Laura's ambitions for me this week, and perhaps that it would be a lollop too far. Having completed week 1, I felt a sort of odd nostalgia for the 60 second run, 90 second walk as I set off on my first five minute warm up of the week.
I did, however, underestimate the sort of coy trickery Laura had up her sleeve. Throwing in the little tips immediately pre-run kept me concentrating on the way my feet hit the ground, or the rhythm of my breathing, rather than focused on needing to stop running. And, lo and behold, I could run 90 seconds. I could do it more than once. In fact, I could do it every time I was instructed to do so. Even with the wind against me and pesky inclines involved in my route. I am, if it not too dramatic to say so, in a state of shock as a result. So, week 2, challenge accepted.
