New shoes -

so here is my problem - my old trainers are perfect apart from the grip on the toes are worn so as much as its fun to slide on the sand and the lovely ultra smooth pavements of santiago it was finally time to take the plunge. Problem 1 - i can't find a solo running shop - i am sure they must exist as there are million and billions of runners in santiago but i can't locate one. Secondly, all the shops are nike, brooks etc so can't easily compare models and did not fancy trying on shoes in all the shops. Too warm today for all that messing around. Thirdly, as much as i would love a gait analysis i have no idea where to go and i am not sure my spanish will stretch this far. So following a wet foot test i did a few weeks ago and deciding on going what ever feels comfortable i skipped off to Nike. Luckily there was a lovely man that helped me, of course they didn't have the lovely ones purple to match my garmin so ended up with these. Can't complain as looked on the uk nike website and i saved £20. So i will have a go in these next week, as i have a race on sunday and don't want to do any damage in case they are wrong. Plus my ankle is already complaining and i made it worse by wearing and walking in my very high wedges on Sunday so these will need to wait in the box. Plus i got a nice mint green top from puma so i don't look like a rainbow has thrown up on me.

oh no - i am staying away from zombies - i can't move that fast so they will catch me, plus i can't get through a single walking dead without jumping out of my skin but maybe my partner will do it - he likes all those zombie movies / tv shows

see the problem was with these is a needed a green top to go with them. I am starting to think maybe you need different trainers for different running clothes. So by the time i got the top and some new anti blister socks i didn't save anything - but i have hidden those from the oh and will say this running top - i got it ages ago - you never listen when i talk about running - he will drop the subject and it will be our secret.

I never use we need, I used that once and lost. Do you really need it? You need water and food etc. I appeal now to his accountant ways we will use it x times so divide the cost by that so its only x really.

Well I find working with facts and figures gets me so much further. Plus timescales, i need you to order the gas for the bbq by next week, i have found this to work better than I need you order the gas for the bbq - it never gets done.
