Well I actually did it !

I stated the C25k program back in January and this led to me stopping smoking in March. Then yesterday I completed the Half in 2 hrs 32 mins.

What a fantastic day and thanks to everyone who was cheering us all along the route.

So all you C25k'ers keep going through the programme and you'll love it !

Shaun

Well done on the race. Trying to get into/out of Cardiff yesterday morning was a PIA lots of roads closed - finally got in after driving right round the outskirts - lots of happy faces in town from the runners wearing their black race T's. Quite a few suffering as they walked back to their cars very amusing. Did see one chap running through town (in a black race T) didnt seem puffed at all.

Once again Well Done :)

Magnificent result, both on the half and the fags! Giving up the gaspers must have been a revelation to you in fitness terms. Give up the fags, run a half marathon! Great stuff.

Keep on running. Never go back to how things were before. You're going to have a much fitter life from here on in.

Good luck to you

Thanks all so much for your kind comments. I've come down from the elation of finishing and just have my medal, race shirt and sore legs to remind me of the day.

So today I enrolled in a programme of swimming lessons that will hopefully make me look more like I'm swimming and less like I'm drowning !

So keep running and you'll love it !!
