Great Scottish run anyone?

Is anyone on here doing the great Scottish run on Sunday 10k or HM?

I am doing the 10k, and hoping for some decent weather .

Did this last year and all I remember is the big hill at the beginning. I am not good with hills but managed it last year. This year running with an aching back, so 2 things.

Time is going to be a lot slower, and

I don't think I can manage that hill.

Still looking forward to it, and wonder if anyone else will be out there too.

I looked at the video for it and would have been interested, but it's only one week after the Loch Ness marathon, so no chance of even managing a 10K, never mind a HM. Maybe another year I could consider it after Loch Ness...?

All the best, Burstcouch. I'll be watching it on the telly.

Well how did you get on. My time was slower than last year due to aching back and extra weight. but am still pleased with 1.08. Managed the hill again, well pleased with that. How did you do?

1:08 is fab :) I did it in 1:13 and managed the hill too!! Go us!! Lol. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the scenery - that hill up onto the Kingston bridge was a killer too! The run through shower was fun :) hoping to manage the half next year!
