Yes, the HM is really exciting. It passes my front door, so maybe one day in the not too distant future.........Mind you, it's a terribly hilly course. A lady I work with did it 4years ago and said never again!! AND she does regular 10ks with a PB of less than 50minutes, so perhaps I might not bother. ;)

Those bloody hills have a lot to answer for, getting in the way of our running pffftttt.

Wow that must be a good view when they all come pass ;-)

I do that all the time. Everywhere I go I look and say the same thing! There's no hope for us, is there?

Ha ha as soon as I notice a hill in any route I quickly think of alternative ways around the god damn hill :-)

Ooh, Ipswich. Happy days. I grew up there, and still remember the weekend before the Orwell Bridge opened. They had a Fun Run starting at Wherstead, over the bridge and I think it ended in Nacton. These days you'd get mown down by the lorries on their way to/from Felixstowe docks. On the night of Band Aid I cycled from a pub in Nacton area ('The Thresher' to see a metal band) back over the bridge, past Wherstead, on to Belstead and home to the Chantry estate. I was 16 and might have had a shandy or two. Madness.

It would take a very brave cyclist to do that route at night these days :D

The Orwell bridge would be a good training run. It seems to go on forever, they have the Samaritans number on the bridge in case we need a good talking too and motivation ;-)
