My first post ever....I wanted to share how amazing the C25k programme is. Back in July I was a running phobic! Genuinely believed I couldn't run. I lost a stone on the 5 2 diet and by the end of July that gave me the confidence to try C25k. Was cynical and when struggling to run a minute without stopping I doubted I'd do it. The first 2o min run and then the first 25 minute runs were the hardest but Laura on the app kept me going. Last night was day 2 of week 8 but I knew I had more left and knowing how much further I would need to do5k I kept going. So thanks to the amazing C25k programme I ran my first ever 5k in the dark last night in 33 mins!! I never believed I could do that! The impact on me as a person, on my physical and mental well being is great and has also led to about five lbs more dropping off me.... Body shape so much better. Thanks C25k!

Congratulations, you must be really chuffed. I did my very first run of Wk 1 yesterday, so hopefully I'll be where you are in 9 weeks time. It's good to hear of your success.

Wow that's amazing, and a brilliant time too! Congrats on your progress and your weight loss too. Keep us posted.

Thanks all. If you are just starting out keep going. I am very genuine in saying if I can do it then practically anyone can. I look back to week 1 and how I felt and find it unbelievable that I can now do 5k.... It's down to trusting the programme.... I often thought I wasn't ready to move on but did and was fine. Good luck all

That is brilliant. A real achievement. Sometimes we need that one thing to motivate us. So glad your granddaughter is in the clear.
