Running after a tummy bug?

Hi everyone. I finished W4R3 a week ago but due to a nasty tummy bug, I've been so sick and therefore unable to start week 5 yet.

My question is do I repeat my last run or go straight into my next run W5R1?

Many thanks

Difficult to say as only you know how you feel but after what sounds like a nasty tummy bug, you may be wise to run the w4r3 again, just to see how you feel. If you are feeling well in yourself you could always give w5r1 a go. Good luck ;)

My advice would be to start gently ... if you find that easy, then you know you can take on a bit more. You don't want to push too hard and feel poorly or discouraged.

I'd do W4R3 again. Stomach bugs can take a lot out of you, and you've been wise to give yourself time to get your strength back.

There's no rush, repeating one run will not make much difference in the long term.

Try to take it slow and steady. If you don't manage it all, you won't have failed, just not fully recuperated so in that case just wait a day or so and give it another go. However, you will hopefully find that your fitness level hasn't actually dropped that much, so you should be fine. Enjoy your run!
