Well that’s Week 2 Run 1 in the bag - and I have to say it was actually ok.
More than can be said about buying new trainers - total flop - so I’m still in the lounge and still bare foot for now - size 2.5 is unusual apparently ...... looking forward to Thursdays run - think I’m getting the BUG

So yes Uk and I was presented with some kids options - all they needed was flashing lights and I’d have been sorted. On a serious note the running store near me has a selection I’m going to review at weekend and they look grown up too
I would pop into a running shop, they usually have kids sizes too. Even if you're a 2.5 in street shoes chances are you'll need a 3 or 3.5 in running shoes. It's very important to have enough room for your toes to fully lengthen and extend whilst running.
If you really don't want a run shop check out start fitness online. Great prices but do get measured too!
Thank you - Yes I’m going to my local running shop at weekend as I’ve just discovered they do proper looking kid sizes and I need them to measure me not just a sports shop I think
Great running. Barefoot worked for Zola Budd... but those spikes hurt sometimes. Glad to hear you’re off to a running store... they’ll sort you out and then you can come and run outside with us.
Yes indeed it was...... this girl was one from another school...she took exception to the fact that I was fast..( stop laughing !!!) , so she crossed lane and stuck the spike in... I still won though.. she fell over!
If it helps.... I bought fairly decent starter running shoes from decathlon. They weren't that pricey and I have used them for running and walking for over 2 years
Thank you - I’m shopping again this weekend so I can get outside - as you say decathlon are very reasonable I’d completely forgotten about them on my hunt last weekend x
