10 miles conquered!!

Went out today determined to tackle the distance. It has been looming since I managed 10k and was my next logical target.

I am totally astounded that back in March, I set out on my running journey with that first shuffling 60 seconds. Who would have thunk it :)

Happy runnings folks :)

Thanks MissW. I just posted similar on TTs thread about the water :)

After I did 10k I didnt really have a goal in mind and the 10m just kind of sneaked up on me. Now that I have done 10, I think the HM may be a target. I have my first official 10k race next month. After that, I may look at a spring HM

So pleased to read this, Runner, my fellow Graduate! :-) Brilliant stuff; it really is some milestone you've reached there. The next step is most definitely a HM! Have you stopped grinning yet? .... Didn't think so!

Congratulations! :-)

Thanks Miles. I think I might start grinning when the legs stop feeling as if they belong to someone else :)

How goes the training with you my friend?

:D You've covered a big distance; there's bound to be some protests from the legs! You'll be fine with a bit of rest. :-)

Training is going well thank you, my running chum. Did 11.2 miles yesterday, which I'm thoroughly proud of, and am now up to four runs a week. Ran to work and back this week as well; out of necessity through lack of time to train before work more than anything, but it was quite the achievement.

Wow!! That is excellent. And four runs a week as well.

Are you still pounding the streets at daft o'clock or have you adopted a more "normal" approach? :D

Blimey great achievement well done. I'm only a month behind (started in April) but miles behind having only done 10k. Well done

Couch to 10k in less than 4 months is fantastic and something to be rightly proud of. Just think back to W1R1 and smile :)
