Chuffed as punch that I've managed to do it. I'm quite simply astonished at myself. I do however wish to ask a question that you will probably tell me doesn't matter.
When will the distance I cover increase? I'm currently covering about two miles and its been this way since week one.
Thanks , Michael.

Don't worry about it, just keep finishing the runs. That's all you need to think about at this point. You are at week 3 and there are some weeks to go yet so don't start getting ahead of yourself by worrying about what ifs and maybe's
All good things come to those who wait. I promise you the rewards will be yours but you just have to go through the programme to be able to get them. The programme is progressive (really, it is) and each run/walk and each rest day is making you stronger, fitter and more able to achieve the next run. Bit like building blocks I suppose. One brick at a time til all of a sudden you've built a row of houses!
Well done, great to get week 3 out of the way. I found the programme moves on more quickly after week 3 and week 5 is where you cover your first bit of proper distance....its all ahead of you just go with the flow and remember the aim is to run for 30 minutes at the end (not 5K).
Well done on getting a third of the programme out of the way! It really does make you feel good, doesn't it. Congratulations and keep on!
if you look ahead at the podcasts for the next week or so (or check the schedule on the NHS C25K website) you will probably be able to work out, going by how long you need to run, a rough estimate of the distance you will cover. I've had to change my route three times now and currently planning a new one again for my run on Friday which will be for a solid 20 mins!
Hi, I am on week 7 and looking back at my runs I see that I haven't really increased the distance much as I went through the weeks. I think what has happened is that in order to complete the time, I have had to make myself run more slowly. it is only in my first run of week 7 that I have managed to add another 0.2km on my distance to reach 4.66km including my warm up/cool down walk. That was so hard though and I think I will have to slow down a bit more to achieve 30 minutes in the next couple of weeks.
I wouldn't worry about speed or distance at the moment, just concentrate on doing the time. Everything else will happen in due course. If it's any consolation to you, my daughter ran as far on w1r1 as I ran on w7.
First well done for getting this far, Misswobble is right don't worry about the distance you cover just yet. However you will find that from week 5 onwards your distance will start to increase as the time you are running for starts to get longer. Good luck with the rest of the programme.
I have also just finished week 3 and my W4R1 will be later today. I found that I covered less distance in the week 3 runs, although the podcasts were a lot shorted (20 mins instead of 30) so maybe thats why. Apart from the time I got lost and it turned into a 4.5km run/walk!
As everybody has said though, it's about completing it at the moment. Speed and distance covered is yet to come!
