This was always going to be the next hurdle - doing it again. And I did it!
I had to miss a day as my instep started to twinge so I took that as a sign that I needed new shoes and went for gait analysis and all that stuff. Came back from Cheshire Oaks with proper running trouser things as well, so I knew I'd have to keep going to justify spending money when I don't have any...
Anyway, I took everyone's advice and ate a banana as well as drank a mug and a half of coffee (600ml) and, in spite of only around 4 hours sleep, I dressed in my new gear and set off for the park.
This time, I managed 7.75 runs ( I had to stop for the look so I think that threw me off a bit) as opposed to 3 last time. Very deeply proud of myself.
My new twinge is my knee - and I think that's only because a friend was going on about hers. Next time I expect it to be my hip, then my shoulder and hopefully after that it will rise out of the top of my head and be gone for ever.
