Firstly, I haven't finished the programme. But once I got to the end of week 5 and found that I could run for prolonged periods of time, I threw caution to the wind ; sat down and planned out routes (bless you, Runkeeper) and this week I've run 5K - TWICE! Slowly, it's true - but my motivation was to run all the way round the Race for Life course in aid of Cancer Research UK and I'm determined to do it. After my race this weekend I'm back to week 6, so that I can legitimately graduate.
The programme works - two months ago I could barely last 60 seconds - so if I can do it, (48, overweight, post knee surgery) anyone can.
