I continue to be amazed...

W5R2 completed...and pretty comfortably! I was a little concerned this week as I had almost a week off between W4 and W5 due to ill health. However, the programme and my body didn't let me down. I really do continue to be amazed how this programme prepares me for each run. I know they won't always be easy but at least the fear has gone. I now have faith in my own ability and the programme. Thanks Laura! :-)

Pretty comfortably??? Pretty comfortably??? Woweeee! Go you! That's my next run to come ... i can't imagine it'll fit in a category called "Pretty Comfortable" but i'm delighted for YOU!

Cool Runnings :-)

Just you wait and see...it won't be as bad as you expect. When I say 'pretty comfortably' I mean I wasn't thinking about having the emergency services on standby. I had my breathing sorted from the word go and really took it at an easy pace. I always start slow and speed up, rather than expend all my energy early on. I was delighted when Laura announced I'd ran 4 minutes and half way and I wasn't even thinking about time. I'm 4 stone over weight, never ran a day in my life before this...so if I can do it anyone can!

Good luck with W5R2! Let me know how you get on xxx

Hellooooo hellooooo to you MightDieTrying, sorry to disturb but just had to tell you ..... you were SO RIGHT!!! I totally LOVED it! I was almost disappointed when Laura popped up and told me to slow down to a walk at the end of the first 8 mins .... having just got comfy so to speak! What a fanbrillizing feeling ... i even overtook a couple of families with toddling toddlers and pushchairs in the last 60 seconds of the second stint!!!

You're on R3 tomorrow i guess ..... i can't wait to try it now .... enJOY IT!!! :-)

Oh right :-) that made me laugh out loud!!! I carry a fearfulness every time i go out, that i'll have to be ambulanced off part-way through my run! Think it's partly the shame that would cause that keeps me going!

Good for you ... good for Laura ... she's so brill!

Onwards we go then :-)

Well done! :-) That's one of the big mental hurdles that needs to be overcome when starting C25K, I think, having belief and faith in both yourself and the programme, but as you're finding, it really does work if you trust it. Very good luck for W5R3; no worrying about it as you'll be fine and will continue in your amazement at your excellent progress!

Good for you!! Well done. I feel exactly the same but keep it up. This programme is baffling good and I don't quite understand how it works ...but it does!! All the very best for W5R3 - you CAN do it!! I am literally just back from completing it (after the usual fear, trepidation and a little self doubt when I started) but WOW - I did it!

i am amazed and feel totally euphoric actually! I know I will probably have a bad run soon but if we all stick together with our positive stories and follow the plan I am sure we can all get there!

I hope your spell of ill health has passed now and that you are on the road to recovery and I wish you all the very best for W5 R3 and onwards. You can do it!!!

Thank you and congratulations on successfully completing W5R3! It really is encouraging to know that I'm not the only one doing this and others have felt exactly the same.

Good luck with the rest of the programme... And well done again!! X
