Can't believe that in 5 weeks I have gone from someone who struggled to walk and hold a conversation at the same time to someone who can run for 20 minutes without stopping- yay for me! I couldn't believe it yesterday morning as I ran along in the peaceful pre 9am sunshine, feeling calm and confident, every time Laura announced I had completed another 5 minutes a small grin spread over my face. And I do remember, when she told me I'd only got 2 minutes left, I let out a little yelp of excited joy!!
So to all those posting in here that they are dreading the dreaded Wk5R3 - don't - you can do it and the feeling as you walk the final five minutes home is one of complete smugness and amazement at your achievement - you can do it!!!

well done, it is an amazing feeling and i share your joy!!!!!! Fantastic how your body can adapt to something new with the correct training, what would we all have done without Laura, would we all be still sitting on the couch!!!!!! lol
Well done you! That 20min run looms on the horizon in a very scary way, but the programme prepares you for it and it's so good to have done it. Keep running!
Fantastic! It's a brilliant feeling, isn't it?! Well done and look out for W6; it's harder than it looks!
Well done on completing week 5 and the 'dreaded' 20 minute run which, in my view, has a reputation is doesn't deserve. Not so week 6. Please treat it with respect - it's much tougher than it appears. The return to intervals is no soft option and often catches people out. After the euphoria of R3 in week 5 it's easy to become a bit over-confident about week 6. Please take things very slow (or even slower than that), very steady and stay calm - this will see you through it okay. Good luck with your next run and best wishes.
