So jealous of all you Parkrunners!

Living in the Scottish Borders, the nearest Parkrun is actually in North West England in Carlisle which is 44 miles away, how I envy all you folks who can just pop to a local Parkrun every week. I will go soon but it will involve two hours driving overall not to mention time to find the place in an unknown area. :-(

There are a few around Glasgow. Have you looked at the jogscotland website? They often have free jogs arranged :-)

Thanks for tip, i will have a looksie.

If you go on holiday, you might find a Parkrun near your destination (particularly if you're staying in the UK). Otherwise, it sounds like you should make contact with other runners and get a Parkrun set-up!

Hey, im in the borders too :-) i go to Edinburgh parkrun, like fitfor60 says its a great course, very flat, which makes a change from all these hills around here ;-) and has lovely views too. I don't go very often as i work Sundays but usually make a day of it while in there.

Will try to get up to the Edinburgh one as well. The park in Hawick is where I do most of my running and it is lovely and flat.

Is there a running club near you? I am not sure how it all works but maybe if there is enough interest you could start a parkrun near you?

Too much like hard work! I could not commit myself to something like organising and running a parkrun.

Make it a weekend trip somewhere beautiful. Including your parkrun on one of the days. There are lots of cheap deals around. Good luck! :)

I am in Hawick, hence Carlisle closer for me. You are not too far from edin. Pity there was not one somewhere like Gala in central borders.
