W5R2 complete- so glad to be back!!

For the past 5 days I have been absolutely clamouring to get out for my next run, and I finally managed it this evening!! I have had an enormous amount of work to do for uni, so it was lovely to submit my essay this afternoon and put on my running shoes and head out the door this evening. 2x8 minute runs for today, and the first just absolutely flew! I can't believe I'm the same person who was red faced and puffing around my local park on week 1! I developed a stitch near the end of run 2 (while running up an enormous hill!) but kept pushing on and finished with a great big grin on my face at the end- welcome back running, I've missed you!!!

Well done on managing to get out today and completing your W5R2. As you've now discovered, the fitness sort of creeps up on you and one day - bingo, you realise just how fit you are becoming. Enjoy it. Good luck with your next run and best wishes.

Well done! Glad it went well; I did the same run yesterday morning and feel much the same about it as you. Hope run three goes well too! :-)

I did the second run yesterday as well, went so much better then expected. I am bit nervous for tommorrow though. Twenty minutes of running without pause!! Good luck!

Well done. Sounds like it's going well. I haven't manages a run this week yet. Looks like I'll have to wait till Saturday for my next parkrun. x

As an ex-lecturer use your time running to think about your work - particularly if you have an essay to write. Creativity often comes when you are enjoying yourself and relaxed. Glad your run went well good luck!

Hope run 3 goes well I just did it this morning ( maybe you did too) and it felt great to complete without too many problems - a strange stitch 15 mins in and when I went back to walk my limbs felt very heavy and tired but by the end of the walk they were good again, I suppose it is all about the recovery? I still have a grin so I am sure you will have another big grin on your face! Good luck.
