Week 4 Run 2 done !!!!

Well week 4 run2 completed last night !!! Had great fun doing this as I was out as usual doing my own thing when all of a sudden I was overtaken by a group of fast striding, hard breathing, Lycra clad people!!! So I thought mmmm I am going to try to gate crash !!!!! Well All of a sudden my pace quickened and I was keeping pace for almost 60 seconds!!!!!! Then the Lycra, clad, fast striders became a distant vision and I was alone again doing my own thing !!!!! But for me the reality was I had completed my 2nd run of the week.

I am finding that leaving 2 days in between my first and second runs of the week makes a huge difference as it gives my calf muscles motte time to recover!!!

Week 4 run 3 is looming. Great !!!

Well done, it sounds as though you are having some fun with it as well as making progress. Good luck with the last run of week 4 and best wishes.

Hello Fitmo thank you for your help and encouragement over the past 4weeks !!!! It is much appreciated!! I am having fun and it is enjoyable and I always look forward to my next run and subsequent post !! I saw a post from you the other day regarding a run you had entered and an invite for coffee??? Not sure if it was to me or Nelly but I do not live near Bedford ???? So unable to accept if it was for me!!

Keep posting as I need the encouragement as I am sure so do others

Take care and best regards

Jo

It was for Nelly who is doing the R4L at Bedford as I am. We are looking at the possibility of doing a Parkrun in Bedford before that as practise! However, anyone near Bedford welcome to run with me and have a coffee (I live on a boat as most people know by now). So far as posting encouragement is concerned - have decided to be self appointed cheerleader so you'll probably get fed up with me!

That is excellent news Fitmo!!! I think everyone needs a cheerleader am sure it will be a great help to us all knowing someone is overseeing our progress!!! Thank you so much

Er...concerned my 'self-appointed cheerleader' might have come across as pushy or bossy. It was meant lightheartedly but I will be posting encouragement and bits and bobs for people to help motivation etc. I had lots of support here and just want to put a bit back for the next group of newcomers. Best wishes.

Well done Josie-jo! I did mine on wednesday, and have W4R3 tomorrow. Have developed a bit of sciatica but hoping to run through it and will take painkillers beforehand. Good luck with yours, and roll on W5!
