I did it! Finally...

I finally managed my w9r3 yesterday after a week's break! I was pondering whether to do a week 8 run again but thought I'd have a bash at the 30 mins and managed it!

Week 9 took about 2 weeks in all, due to a stomach bug and a week in Berlin.

Yay, feels great to have done it :)

I'm going to carry on with the week 9 podcasts for a bit though until I feel more comfortable with it, then move on. Or do any graduates have some good tips? I'm managing about 5.6km (including the walks either side). I think I need to build up distance rather than speed.

Cheers everyone, this forum is really helpful and supportive :)

Well done that's a great achievement. My advice would be to do stepping stones, stamina etc and then aim to build to a 10k? Good luck and enjoy!!?

Congratulations! I bet you feel great!

Don't forget to ask for your graduate badge.

Well done and congratulations. Enjoy your success. Good luck with your post-grad running and best wishes.

Well done! I did W9 for about 3 or 4 weeks altogether before moving on to the C25K+ podcasts. I'd recommend measuring your distance just for the running part and try to be consistent in how far you actually run and maybe try to run a little bit further in the time.

Then it's really up to you, but mixing up what you do is important so you don't get 'bored'. I did a bridge to 10k programme but now only fit in 30 minute runs.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling isn't it? Let us know what you decide to do post-graduation. I signed myself up for a local 5k charity run to keep me motivated :)

Thanks everyone! I signed up for the 5k race for life at the end of June, that's what motivated me in the first place. I think my goal for now is just to increase distance and pace a bit and see how I go. :)
