I did my final wk9 run 3 this morning. I feel great. It's has been such a challenge. It might of taken me a bit longer but I got there. I ran for 3.8 km so a bit more training to 5 km. I am going to start the pink 10 k free app next and start at week 9 once a week, interval training once a week and a free run once a week. My ultimate goal is a beginners triathlon next September. 400m swim, 15k cycle and 5k run. Up until now it's always been a pipe dream but thanks to c25k and all of the support here it could possible become a reality. Thank you.

Wow good luck with the triathlon....that's one hell of a goal :) I use the C25K+ podcasts and have found they helped with my speed and stamina. I now still do a speed, a stamina, a short fast run and a long slow run. My goal is a better 10km time and a HM in March or April. It doesn't matter how long it takes, it the fact that you are doing it. Let us know how you are doing with the training. :) :)

Without Laura I have to keep some goals. I can get lazy very easily. Thank you for the lovely comment.

Wow, where is this beginners triathlon taking place? You've already proven how determined you are by finishing the plan so I'm sure you'll be on that starting line in September! Good luck!

The triathlon is the L C Disability one called Tri together. They have been going for 2 years. They are in london and Glasgow but I think they are hoping to roll them out in other places. Thanks for the lovely comment.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am sure my inner panther is waiting round a corner ready to pounce out and get with the program. On a side note I broke the two wine glass rule last night. Well I thought needs must hehe.

That's a brilliant target. I am impressed. My problem is the swim - I do 'traditional British ladies breaststroke' so I would take ages! But have dry hair!

Thanks for the reply. I also am a breast stroke swimmer but my best friend has told me if I can conquer running I can swim front crawl. Not sure yet though.

well done to you.I read with interest that you are a breast stroke swimmer, and so am I, and have never been able to do crawl.Do you know why running helps that?I would love to be able to do it.my children were national age group swimmers, and my son has done 2 ironman, but I could never master freestyle.

Thank you. I am not sure running helps as such. It's just I have always said I couldn't. I have proved myself wrong in so many ways by becoming a graduate in running that now I have to ask can I prove myself wrong and learn crawl. I can only do one length before I am shattered at the moment whereas I can do 30 breast stroke. So like the running I assume it is a mental thing. Also I think like running its a pace things as well. I might have to slow down to start with. I think with me like running its about going out of my comfort zone. May be worth giving it a go now you are a graduate translate some of your skills. Good luck.
