Quietly working through the weeks 2nd time around...

Tomorrow I will complete week 3 after my restart from the beginning after 8 weeks off for surgery (got to week 9 before, just 2 runs short of graduating). I'm finding it different 2nd time around: so far, the runs feel easy, but I am not tempted to skip any of the weeks: I want to ease myself back in to the longer runs.

For the first time though, this time around I have run in the rain and would do again now, rather than put off a run which I did before, and I am finding it easier to find a workable pattern to fit in 3 runs a week: I realised I am the only one in work on Fridays, so for the last 2 weeks I have gone in my running gear so I could run home. Works brilliantly as it gets it done, rather than get home and then try and convince myself to go out, which invariably failed after a day at work before.

I still can't believe I'll ever be able to run for 10 minutes let alone 30 though! But I'll do what I did before; don't think about it, just trust the programme :D

Thanks Nilzed - just quietly plugging away: out at 9a.m.thi morning, my earliest run so far.

You will be fine progressing through the programme again. You've taken a wise approach and it will certainly pay off for you. Good luck and best wishes.

Thanks Fitmo: I certainly hope so. Can't wait to get back up to the longer runs and prove to myself I can do it.

Running on your way home from work! That is keen. Enjoy your runs.

Lol, it's actually turning out to be a stroke of genius time management :D

I certainly don't want to turn out again once I am home and it meant my 3rd run of the week often wasn't happening within the week.

I'm sure I read on here somewhere that someone slept in their clothes so that they could go running in the morning! Now that is keen and rather odd.

I like running in the rain. I don't even have injuries and I still struggle.Go lemondoodle!
