I've been slack in getting myself out for runs now I've graduated but I think I just need to find a new timetable - before, I'd hit the road early morning and be back before the children were up. Now though, as we don't have to get up to get them to school, I'm finding it too difficult to drag myself out of bed at 7am! So today was a lunchtime run and it worked really well for me (I work from home most of the time).
It was my first run without the app to encourage me! Thanks to some advice from Jay66UK , a bit of fiddling around and crossed fingers, I set my apple watch workout to a 30 minute run after 5 mins of walking, and off I went! One great thing about my run today was that running with a 'proper' bit of kit made me really feel like a graduate - no hand-holding from the app, just me, my watch and my audiobook playing out from my phone (I've misplaced my earphones ).
I set Strava to record the whole route (5km PB!) but the watch just recorded the run and that was great as it showed me that I ran 4.23km in 30 mins! Given that includes my usual hills I am chuffed with that as my usual steady pace. Now if only I had a nice flat bit of road to run on...
Gosh I love the c25k app - and I even think I love running!
