51 yrs old and unfit... Dec 27 weighed 17st 6lb.... Now weigh 14st... Started the C25K a month ago and because of the route I do (down the lanes away from view) I found that Laura was finishing and I still had some way to get home, so I just carried on jogging slowly.... Can't believe that now I have done the 6.42km in 40.49 mins! Feeling fitter than I have ever done and looking forward to keeping up the progress... Even started shopping at Decathalon!
Thanks to C25K and Laura, you have inspired me no end...

Thanks for all the supportive comments.. It is very helpful to read other peoples stories, just seeing what others have achieved definitely spurs me on.. Now to maintain the progress and a sneaky eye on running for 10k in a few months.. We will see..
Well done! Where's your Graduation Badge though? You need to apply for it using the link to the right hand side of the screen. See the blue writing >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Wow! Fantastic achievements, I must say. You've come a long way in a very short time. Congratulations on maintaining a determined attitude becaise that's shows great strength of character and will. Well done!
You can't jog all that slowly....! Over 6k in 40 mins is great. I finished yesterday and also ran on after the 30 mins, and did 5k in 36 mins. Don't think I could have done a further 1k! Maybe next time...
I use Endomondo so I can see what I am up to. Start and end are slow, but the middle bit is ok... Did 1k in 6 mins exactly and 1 in 5 mins.58, those 2 really spurred me on... Lucky that the route is dead flat...
36 mins is great... Don't know about you, but I used Laura's 5 mins cool down as my "extra run" and then added my own cool down after.. It's kind of ok because you have done the required and any extra is just that, extra, and so no pressure! Bet you will do that extra 1k very soon..
