So pleased with my run today

I ran under 30 minutes for my 5K today. So very proud. I had 5 goals at the start of this and had put this one in brackets as thought I wouldn’t do that for some time. But I did. To be honest, there is a big part of me that doesn’t trust the app 😂 I had been doing 33 minutes before. Today was the first time in a while I’ve just run on the road. I prefer trail running. It seemed much easier and I had slept well so perhaps I should trust it. The good thing is that now I’ve cracked it I feel more inclined to slow down to run further. 😊 To anybody who thinks they can’t- you will.

Well done! And thanks for the encouragement :-)

I'm training to be able to run a specific distance in a specific time but my main goal at the moment is just to finish the programme and work from there x

Well done! I’d love to get sub 30! 33:55 at ParkRun today, 2 weeks after graduation. Could be a while! I’m trying bridge to 10k. What are your next plans?

I’m just trying to keep running 5Ks or 30 minutes for now. I do feel like I might start creeping up the distance but just seeing how I go. Bit shocked to go sub 30 minutes today so will see if I get near that again first! I just want to run 3x week consistently.

Well done you! Not sure I will ever run 5k in under 30 minutes. But I’m happy with 30 minutes running for now, hoping to work back up to 5k, however long it takes, as I’ve got a lovely 5k route on my doorstep.
