I never believed I would be able to run for 20 minutes but I did it on the treadmill this afternoon. Thank you to all those who said to have faith and just do it, without that encouragement I would not have thought it possible. I focused on my breathing and it really helped when my legs got achy. I ran r2 outside round the field a few times on Sunday morning and am building up confidence to do more outside runs. I am still very slow, more a slow jog than a run at 7kph with the last two minutes speeded up to 7.5kph. I reckon that I can work on speeding up later. Week 6 starts Friday.

Well done, it's a fantastic feeling to run for 20min. Good luck for week 6
Well done. It's such a good feeling isn't it. I'm on my second time round and on week 6 too. Keep going no matter how slowly. It's the fact you are running that matters....better than sitting in front of the TV.
Well done! Take care running across the fields! It's so easy to turn an ankle on uneven ground so go steadily please as you don't want to risk injury before Graduation. Save speed running until after Graduation. Finish C25k safely and then worry about building speed over time as you get fitter. Don't go too far, too fast, too soon. I know you're enthused by your new running prowess but just curb your enthusiasm for now. When you graduate in 3 weeks you can think about where to go from there. For now though you have the little matter of Week 6 to think about. Happy running. Take care. Let us know how you get on
Well done!
Yay! Well done you - that run is a great one & it sounds like you really enjoyed it too. There'll be no stopping you now!
Fantastic!! Well done an amazing achievement!! Onwards and upwards
Congratulations - a huge milestone passed!
Thanks everyone, on to week 6 next!
