Hi - I have just started week 3 and wondered if anybodyelse comes back from a run absolutely famished?

Its the opposite for me. After a run I'm not hungry at all. I have to force down a banana with a drink.

It's not surprising that you feel hungry after your run. Have WHOLEGRAIN cereal an hour to 90 mins before running to sustain you but don't eat anything afterwards if you can help it. Maybe a banana or something healthy and low calorie, as you can over compensate and end up putting weight on as I did! I stopped eating immediately after runs and found after a bit I don't notice it.

Are you really hungry or dehydrated, if you haven't had any water I would suggest its the latter. I have a glass of water, mug of green T and a banana about 30 minute before my early morning run, then cereal after it. Give it a try we tend to forget that we need liquids after a night of sleep but we do. :)

Thanks for this - I'll try it tomorrow as that will be my 2nd run of week

I never eat anything before I run and nothing afterwards. I do drink plenty though.
