Its taken a while due to injury and illness, but after 5 and a half months today I finally graduated. Totally amazed that I have finally got here.
I tried a new route today, which was more up-and-downy than my usual routes - so it was a hard run, and half way round I was really cursing myself for not having used my usual completely flat route, but I had a real glow or achievement (or was that just sweat) when I managed to complete it.
I'm nowhere close to 5k - 3.6k last Monday has been my longest so far - but I'm doing jantastic. Target for February is to get to 4k. Target for March may be to get to 5k - we'll see!

Wow ! congratulations! I am on week 7 and although running for 25 mins I have no idea of the distance - not even going to think about yet, I am far too slow! Well done and hope to say the same soon
Congratulations, well done. Enjoy the warm glow of success
Great work! Brave to try a different route for your graduation run. You'll get to the 5k in no time. It's a fab target to have and I have no doubt you'll succeed. Keep going
Well done you must be really pleased with yourself. I was about the same as you in distance when I graduated. Don't overdo it trying for the 5K. Don't risk injury. Listen to your body you'll get to the 5K in your time. No better time than that. Well done again.
