So I've had a sinus and throat/chest infection, but still, when I realised it's been 3 weeks and a day since I last ran, I decided I just had to get out there and do "something" today. My cough is still there, but not too bad, and I thought that if I had to stop and walk, then I'd just walk for a bit. Slow and steady was in my mind, and I duly recorded a personal "worst", never having run as slowly as I did today since tracking my runs with endomondo.
But really, who cares? I got out there, I ran for 25 minutes, I didn't have to stop, I didn't collapse when I got back, and my cough is no worse now than it was this morning (so no more excuses there then!). Oh, and I didn't get wet either - despite an enormous and very black cloud looking like it was all set to empty all over me.
Back to the couch and my fix of winter olympics, and feeling slightly less guilty about it now!
