Well that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, apart from the rain joining me after ten minutes !
I did notice that my walking pace was a bit slower that last week, o I covered 2.84 miles at 6.53 mph, so nearly .75 of a mile extra compared to last week.
So glad I started this programme

Don't get too hung up on distances covered, because you may find as the challenge to your body increases, that you have to ease back your pace, the distance could decrease and you could feel demotivated. The duration is the thing you are building with that 30 minute run your target, in just a few weeks time.
Congratulations on your progress. I am sure you can feel the difference already. Keep posting.
I just did run 1 of week 2 last night - and I agree with you, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I struggled at about 75-80 seconds of the running, but got through each one completely without stopping to walk and felt really good afterwards.
Well done 44cmn. You are building your stamina slowly - that's the genius of this program. It aint easy, but it is definitely do'able as so many of us on here can testify. Goodluck with the rest of Week 2.
That's what I really like about it - it's not easy which is what makes it a great challenge and it's fantastic to feel yourself slowly improving each time!
It is such a clever programme. As someone who has never run before I can highly recommend it to anyone who just fancies getting a little bit fitter. All being well tomorrow will see me completing the third run of week 2. I would never have thought I could do it but I'm sure I can, and actually enjoy it !!
Hi 44cmn, its great to hear you completing the runs in week 2, i am starting week 2 tomorrow, and its good to hear its not as bad as i think it will be! Well done!
