So disappointed :(

First run of week three today and it didn't go well. First 90 seconds was hard never mind the three minutes. I tried to keep going to the end but I consistently had to stop running to breathe. I don't want to give up but this run just made me feel so disappointed with myself :( any advice?

Please don't be disappointed. We all have bad days, so don't beat yourself up.

Perhaps have a rest day and try to get a good nights sleep. I find this really helps me with running.

The program is designed to build you up each week. You can always go back if you're not entirely happy.

I've done this several times.

Running isn't easy, I am very slow at running.

Today I had this man on the street, stop and tell me your last when I was running in a group. I just ignored him and continued.

You will get there, just don't give up! You have started and you will finish.

Keep posting.

I started running in August and eventually graduated in November. I had never run before, not even for a bus. In my case I have learned that many things can affect each run, and no 2 are ever the same. Do not be disappointed, you have already made progress! Just keep going and keep to the programme, repeating individual weeks if you need to. You have done really well.

Don't be downhearted. Everyone has bad days and then others when it all comes together. Just get out there and see how it goes next time. You can take this programme at your own speed - so what if it takes a little longer than 9 weeks? I guarantee you are doing more than 3 weeks ago!

Just take your time. If you are struggling to breathe just go a bit slower and see if that helps. I agree with the others too, it's strange but some runs are so much easier than others, so have a rest day then have another go. Good luck.

Ahem...you were outside running - never a bad thing!? We all have bad days, even those of us who have been here a while. I did week 4 so many times I thought I'd never get out of it. Its part of this journey and is what will make that final run so amazing you will never want to stop. Don't let it get you down, and don't feel like you won't get through this because you will. Perhaps next time slow the pace to a level where you can breathe comfortably, this for me was as I called it 'walking with arms', but I could breathe and complete each section. Then perhaps do the week twice, so you can work at building your pace a little?

Remember, never be disappointed. You are here blogging, you are choosing to run and that in itself is an inspiration. Keep going, you are so much stronger then you think :)

Some great support advice here. Your next run could be quite different - we definitely all have some weeks that seem really difficult and then manage the next one better. I've not graduated yet 12 weeks after starting the programme, and that's ok, it's getting out there and building your fitness and stamina at a pace that is right for your body that counts.

We've all had bad runs, mine was in week 1. Stay with the programme. Have a rest day and try again on Tuesday. Remember everyone on here is cheering you on, every step of the way.

Aghhh....my treacle run was W2R2. I found the first 3 min nasty...so slowed my pace on the second and was feeling short-changed at the end of the second walk of 3 min because I wanted another 90 sec run!
