Should I do week one again?

I've just finished week one but I just feel it should've gotten easier as the week went by and that I should do it again or should I just move on to week two as that's how I'll actually progress?!

If you managed to complete all the runs then why not have a go at week 2? You can always go back if you can't manage W2R1, but hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised that although it's hard, it's not actually that much harder than W1 because the whole point of the programme is to build up your strength and stamina.

I personally wouldn't do week 1 again.

Try not to be so hard on yourself. It is hard running for the first time.

When I did it I felt so unfit. You'll get there and this program is mentally challenging.

Good luck!

The progression in this training plan is carefully worked out so that as each new challenge comes along you have been prepared for it and you will more than likely succeed. You will surprise yourself and in just a few weeks you will be running for thirty minutes. Yes, you will!! Good luck.

Keep running, keep posting.

Go on to week two - you'll be surprised at what you can do. Each new week has felt a complete challenge and so far, every one my body seems to have risen to.

Thanks everyone, I will look forward to moving onto W2R1 in the morning!

Hi, sjb, I absolutely agree with the other posts, do not redo week 1. You have achieved that week, tick it off, give yourself a huge pat on the back and progress as you deserve.

I did not find any weeks particularly easy (especially the weeks where the each run was different) and the programme takes you by the hand and pulls you along gently! You'll be jogging along for your 30 minutes by the time the daffodils are out!

It doesn't get easier, you just work harder ;-)

This week has been a struggle. Been out three times but only completed one run and that was my second time out! Damn ice is making it so hard. But I'll complete the three runs even if it takes me two weeks!
