ok. tonight was week 7 run 1. I was determined to lock onto a GPS signal before i set off as I've never before managed to do it. Mapmyrun and Runkeeper continually fail me, so I tried Runtastic. I eventually locked onto a signal 2 and a bit minutes in, and i guess the thought of FINALLY knowing the distance Im covering did spur me on, but its saying I've done 3.52 miles which when I've just put it in the converter works out at 5.6k. Surely that can't be right? I did run for 27minutes, instead of 25, as I felt fine, but even so?... nevertheless, I feel great and (fraudulent or not!), Im happy with my progress!

Has anyone else used Runtastic? Not sure I quite believe it...
I use runtastic. I have checked my runs with the easy route app, they both seems to check out at the same distance. I wish I could disbelieve mine, it always feel like it's recorded less than I feel like I have run, but I think that me. Great time and distance and like you say if you feel great then enjoy it.
ough! wow! *mini high five and celebratory Mexican wave to me*
I have tried running with both runtastic and runkeeper working at the same time to see how accurate they are and they generally say the same distance... so congratulations on your run!
I use fantastic too and comparing the distance with that given on Google maps, it is mostly accurate. There have been odd occasions when the GPS signal has shown me running up a street I know I haven't been on though but you can see that on the map so it's easy to see when it is wrong.
Well done!
