I did exactly the same! I couldn't take it any more!!
I couldn't take anymore of the 'this run is going to be so hard, you can't stop and walk, oooo you've only done five minutes'. She's been fantastic up until now but I was finding that it was putting me in the wrong frame of mind. Couldn't run for 25 mins with her but did 5k in 36 mins tonight without. :0)
It was the music that did me in!! I was running along the canal trying to persuade myself not to jump in!
Ha ha! I actually found the music too fast and couldn't find the right pace. 'Flower' by Moby is exactly my running pace and I actually played it a few times :0) x
I don't have an ounce of rhythm, I don't worry about the beat too much as I'm unlikely to be running to it!

This is exactly my experience too! Since using my own playlist my last three runs.have been 25 mins (feeling I could do more ), 40 mins and then 35 mins.
And I'm only in week 7!

By accident I ran wk5 r2 without Laura & run about 33 mins if not longer , ran through all my playlist .
me too....only on week 4 but am using the chart print out from the top of here and timing on the treadmill, sometimes with music sometimes without going well
I also abandoned the lovely Laura by week 7. I just couldn't take the music anymore!
I LOVE making my own playlists (I'm a musical girl anyway :0) )
I did warm to a few bits of the music but most of it I found so difficult to run to.
