Dear Laura, Could you please fix it for me.....

To stop rocking the 'sweaty chubster who's about to expire' look at the end of these podcasts.

I would like you to make me seem effortless & elegant instead!! And fast.... ok I'll settle for faster (although that wouldn't be hard!)

Thank you

Tee hee... I bet the faster will come as we perservere with doing this. And I just said to my OH last night - you just don't see a lot of overweight people run. So we are either bucking the trend (I like rebelling!) or soon enough we will fit in with all the rest... effortless, elegant, non-chubby. For now, let's just enjoy the moment! :-) :-)

I like the idea of rebelling!! And I'm sure the pace will come, just as the breathing did after a few weeks!

Lol, I'm not chubby but hardly effortless & elegant - I looked WRECKED after my run today - my face could not have got any redder if I tried & I don't think it's humanly possible to sweat any more than I do. I'm channeling the 'explosion in a bomb factory' look. :-)

Haha that 'look' made me chuckle. I am just a red sweaty mess by the time I finish!! :D

my secret i run at night -

i leave it to all the slim mummies who drop off there kids in their lycra and come back at lunchtime looking like they have spent the morning in a spa to do the day time runs,

you never know get myself a little fitter and by the time my baby is at school i may use that time to run with the yummies

You are braver than me, I run on a treadmill in the garage. I've only 'gone public' once - at a Parkrun a couple of weeks ago. The photo from the finish line probably means it will be a few weeks before I venture out again!! lol

As for running with the yummies, I'm sure given time they will be trying to catch up with you because if they are anything like the ones who drop their children off to school in our village their cars are hidden round the corner , they are just trying to look athletic :)

lol you are right their 4x4 's line the street, there is one i know for sure runs as she parks the car drops the kids then runs home and back gets the car and then freshens up - i only know this as i actualy see her doing it, pop my head out the window see if they want a lift

today i a non running day but when big 2 are in bed and hubby is home to look after little one im off out with the dog xx

This question is on everyone's lips on here I think. I wish I could end up glamorous & sweat free but ... if I'm not sweating I'm not running fast enough, that's what I tell myself. How do some runners run without sweating? Without a red face and a grimace? They zoom past you all swishy ponytail and a smile on their face *grrrrrrr*

Hello all, I couldn't resist chipping in to say that when i first started couch to 5k - I ran in an almost disguise (bobble hat). I don't anymore but despite the fact I STILL look wrecked at the end of every run - I don't care. The smugness and satisfaction of knowing I've just run for 30 minutes more than makes up for it. Sweaty and proud, I say!

I like the word 'wrecked' - it sums up how I look AND feel after 30 minutes lol

Over the last couple of weeks, I thought I hadn't been looking quite so beetrooty after my runs... until I did W5,R3 on Wednesday. I reckon I could have fried a couple of (sweaty) eggs on my cheeks after that! (Please excuse the visualisation if you're eating!!) ;)
