Week 2 Run 2

Oh dear, today was a complete and utter embarrassing fail! I couldn't even finish the 2nd run and then had 2 walk the rest of it. Probably because I had a 3 day break. At least i know not to do that again if I don't have to. Oh well, it can only get better from here, right?

Hi I don't think you have failed at all, far from it the early weeks are not easy as I am sure lots of others here would agree. Don't beat yourself up if you need to repeat a run or two or more! it took me three weeks to move from week 2 to week 3 the main thing is don't give up. What you are doing is admirable keep going and good luck!

Don't worry. I think the first weeks are really tough. I know that the plan gives you a

programme to stick to, but we are all different and things will affect how well we can run. Sometimes I'll feel tired after work and have a great run, other times it just doesn't work for me. Listen to your body and give yourself a break. My advice is to just keep at it. Who cares if you do week 2 three times, this isn't a competition, it's about doing what is good for you. What is important is that you are giving it a go and getting out and running. Good luck and stick with it! Believe me it works.

Hold your head high because you are off that couch and out there doing your best. Some days can feel disheartening but I sense that you have already put this disappointment on the back burner. I always vowed to carry on even if it meant walking because establishing the running/walking habit will reap huge benefits. Good luck

Everyone has bad run days - or even weeks! Just keep getting out there and doing your best. You have done the hardest bit - starting the program!

Every week I've thought "I can't do next week" and here I am at the end of Week 4 thinking the same! Every step is a big one but you're DOING it! That's the amazing thing. The best bit of advice I was given was to trust the programme. It's not a race, it DOES work and you WILL do it! Just do it at your own pace, in your own time and love every moment. The rewards of feeling great are awesome! Good luck :-)

I think you are doing great:)

I was on week 2 for two week, before I could go to week 3:) (I'm not going to tell you how long I was stuck on week 3 and on week 4!! but it was long - and now I'm finally "gratuating" from dreaded week 4 to 5) so you are doing fantastic - and keep it up! :)

we've all been there;)

Totally agree. Can't believe the progress I've made since I started. I'm not very good and I don't have style, but I'm better than on week 1, so that is progress. Keep going.
