That was a bit of a slog but I did it! (A big mental plus to only have to do three runs!) Still going very slowly but can't expect miracles with my little legs.
Really having to put all my trust in the programme now. The step up from W5R1 to W5R3 is seemingly HUGE at present. Better not be having me on Laura ...

I thought that too, but I did it, like many others, and as many people would agree and have said previously it is a mental battle not a physical one, the programme has prepared your body enough. Good luck x
fab Hennith ! I just finished w4 and will do the first of w5 on sunday - have to say i am excited about not doing the same run 3 times but pretty scared of r3!
Well done! Yes, I think it's a case of trusting the system and looking at all the people, like us, who have successfully gone through it. Good luck and keep letting us know how it's going won't you?
Hi Hennith, you are right to put your trust in Laura she has got hundreds through this program and you will soon be another one. Take it steady, think nice thoughts and the time will fly by, most important thing of all is have faith in yourself, you have done all the preparation work and that will take you through to the final weeks. Well done
Hey, well done you too! No, I couldn't manage the distraction techniques yesterday - too busy just concentrating on hanging in there. Interesting you clench your fists - I find I tense my shoulders up and have to try to keep them relaxed. Lots and lots to work on! When are you doing R2?
Just did it (Sunday) Was feeling a bit rough today but thought I'd go for it. It was fine and I'm glad I went. Can't imagine doing the next one though. I'll have to do some positive visualisation I think. However, we've managed each one so far, so bring it on.
Ah, brilliant! Not easy getting out when you're not feeling 100%, so good for you. Yes, I think we need to trust in the programme which has got so many people through W5R3 - it's just not always easy is it??? Positive visualisation is a good idea and it's something sports people are taught to do. You are probably going to streak ahead of me now as I have a few very busy days ahead getting eldest back to university - W5R2 for me on Wed probably. Good luck with the next run - you can do it!!
