Could have managed 30mins,so just wondering as Im not quite on my schedule, if I should move on to week 9 on Sunday.Anybody have thoughts on that?
missed my run of day 2 week 8 and went for a l... - Couch to 5K
missed my run of day 2 week 8 and went for a lovely day at Regents park zoo?Walked for miles.Did day 2 today and it went ok .
I wouldn't rush it. Graduation is an important goal but it is fairly arbitrary really, except that it is proven by thousands to have worked. By doing your three W8 runs you will have conditioned your body further, ready for the longer runs of W9. However, if you tried a 30 minute run and succeeded, you could call it W9R1, and if you fall short then it would be W8R3. You are sounding VERY keen A1nsworth, I hope you are beginning to enjoy it.
Not long now, either way. Good luck, whatever you do.
We are sticklers for protocol here. No queue-jumping Seriously, most people seem to swear by the schedule. You're so nearly there, why not just follow the plan for the last bit as well. I think the longer runs are harder on your joints and muscles. I wouldn't push it. But maybe that's just me...
yes I have been thinking about this and I would hate to think I'm cheating so I will stick to the course?Thankyou for giving me a talking to .xx
It isn't so much a question of cheating as competing. You seem to be trying to compete with yourself. There's no point - it's counter-productive. C25K is a lifestyle change programme - it's intended to set us up to continue running for as much of our life as possible. Inevitably we will slow down. If you continue to want to get better and better, jumping stages, and so on, then you've not got it yet. You should want to run for the sake of getting out there and running, period. Sure you might monitor your progress from time to time, but not every time.
Cheers
