What a struggle it was, I couldn't see through my specs, can't see without them. Took em off and did my best. Must buy running cap! Also my jacket was cold when soaked, stuck and chilled my arms (moan moan!!!) it's all a learning curve isn't it! But I managed 33.50 which is only slightly slower than my last one but far more challenging! Look at my previously white socks!!!

Pouring rain, mud up to my armpits and chuck in some thunder and lightning. Parkrun number 3!
Well done and fantastic time - I bet you feel good. I too was out this morning I am still buzzing with the endorphin glow
I wasn't feeling the love but I'm glad I did it! If my shoes ever dry, I'll go next week!!
Good tip AliB1
Cloudchaser, you make me quite ashamed. I had intended to do Park run today but the thunder and driving rain at 7.30 meant I stayed in bed. I did run this afternoon when the worst of the rain had blown over, but it does show what a fairweather runner I may become. I blame the glorious summer we have just had.
Good to hear that you are out running again (in the new shoes?) and getting close to that 30 minute mark. I bet everybody's time was slow in those conditions. I want to get there next week cos it is Park Runs ninth birthday.
I was egged on Mr Truffles, it was really hard thou, you appear to be a very motivated runner so I wouldn't worry about rejecting a torrential downpour-any sane person would!
See you next week!
