The wings on my feet seem to have fallen off

11.7Km this morning, in 1h14m. Hmm. OK but not OK enough. Now not so long ago I'd have regarded that distance and time as very good. In truth, I still do. But it's not good enough to get under the hour for 10k, and some of the 1K split times were distinctly sluggish. It all felt a bit plodding this morning. So it's back to the workshop this afternoon to make some new trainer wings from finest SpeedMeUpium, the wonder material guaranteed never to fail. Look out for it coming to a run near you sometime soon. I hope! But the monthly total is now 70.2k. Edging closer to 100.

Hey that all sounds great...ypu are doing brilliantly, you mustn't be despondant. Its so funny I was trying to work out why on some runs i feel like I'm on fire and can run forever, and on others ( the last two in fact) I have felt so knackered even ten minutes in all I want to do is curl up and sleep like a cat!! You deserve a pat on the back, you are an inspiration to me ...I am aiming for the 100k this month, fingers crossed!

You'll do it; just remember Leon's advice!

I have no idea if that's a good time or not (it certainly seems to be) but getting to 11.7km sounds a great achievement regardless. Put me down for a pair of those go faster running shoes though.

As soon as I get a new supply of SpeedMeUpium, you're on the list!

Wow Ned good time and distance and your 100K is looking doable this month without a doubt, well done. :)

Just to be able to run 10k is a dream of mine, so I am in awe of you.

That said, I know that if I ever get there, I'll be chasing another goal...faster, further, longer...so I understand your feelings.

Hope the new wings do the job ;-)

But you surely will do 10K, with or without speedy wings. After all, you've already graduated (no badge though?). Just keep on keeping on.

I haven't been able to get my badge because I'm a technophobe and can't answer the questions to get it!

As for managing 10k, I'm up to nearly 4.5 miles but it seems to be getting harder with every run. :-o
