Advice on how to search the forum please.

Sorry for being stupid but I’m not used to forums and I can’t find a search function here.

I completed W2R1 on Thursday morning and ended up with a sore ankle. Finished W2R2 on Saturday morning and hobbled around for a few days but felt good enough tonight to do W2R3. I’m back to hobbling around. I’m now doing the whole RICE thing.

My question is how do I do a search for ‘ankle’ in the forum? I’ve googled it all and read up loads but thought it would be good to hear from the C25K community.

Thanking you in anticipation!😊

Not sure how to search here.

Do you have a previous ankle injury? Lots of problems can be down to how your foot lands. Your local specialist running shop should offer gait analysis, so you can see if your shoes suit and if not they’ll tell you what you need. Other advice would be to slow down and see if it improves, as your body will take time to adjust to these new things you are making it do.

Lidl currently have running gear in their specials. They have ankle braces at £4.99 a pair and running socks at £1.99. I’m injured and currently wearing their £5.99 knee brace and is is doing wonders.

hello, are you on a browser on a pc/laptop/other computer that's not a tablet/phone? If so, on the top right of the page, should be your search box. If you are on your "Home" page on Healthunlocked, the search will search all the Healthunlocked forums. If you're specifically on the Couch to 5K forum, it'll search that first.

If you're on a mobile device on a browser, the site looks a bit different. If you're on the Couch to 5K forum itself there'll be a strip under the banner picture and forum name with "home posts polls" and some others. If search isn't there, one of those will be "more" and that should have search under it if you click on it.

If you're using the healthunlocked app on an iphone, I have no idea. My suggestion would be don't use the app :)

There’s my answer right at the end.... but I can’t switch, I let my phone set the password 😂

aw no! Hmmm. There must be a way of retrieving or resetting said password. I have to say I don't know why they bothered releasing the app - the badges are nice to have, not just our graduate ones but presumably you can't see the "administrator" or "mentor" badges either! Ah well. I use it on my phone browser but that eats so much battery so it's not all great!

Thanks everyone! Yes I’m using the app on my iPhone and I can see the magnifying glass at the top LHS but this brings up the search word on every single forum. I wondered if you can search only the C25K forum but apparently not 😕

No previous problem with my ankle but after reading lots I will start strengthening exercises, stretch much more before and after runs and maybe avoid early morning training until I’m a bit stronger and fitter👍
