Had a great run this evening, it was about 22 degrees at 8pm which felt positively cool! We ran together without any Laura or any music and managed to keep chatting most of the way round and there was plenty of activity going on in the park, which is always a useful distraction. The first 15 mins dragged as it always does, but after that the time seemed to jump in 3 minute spurts. We got to 30 mins and I wanted to keep going a little longer as we both felt fine. We picked up the pace for the last minute and raced each other to the end. 35 mins completed with relative ease on a very nice evening. I think we could have carried on for longer but I didn't want to ver do it, and prefer to increase our time gradually. When we got back I measured our distance online and it was about 4.3 km, so about a 40 minute 5k, which has roughly been our pace throughout the programme. Planning to do the Park Run a week on Saturday when I'm aiming to do my first 5k, looking forward to it and I never thought I'd ever say that!
