Graduated this evening!

Ran my third 30min run this evening - not quite reaching 5k yet (4.6k in 30 mins) but considering the 25 degree heat, I think on a cooler day I will do 5k in 30mins.

My goal now is to keep running 30mins until I am comfortably doing 5k, then go for distance after that.

Week one I couldn’t even do 30 seconds without gasping for breath, learning to pace myself has been my biggest takeaway :)

Congrats 🏅, I'm not at 5k either and I too have newly graduated, just so thrilled I can run 30mins solid. Well done 😊

Congratulations on completing week 9. That in itself is quite an achievement. You are so close to doing 5K already, I’m sure you’ll achieve this very soon if you keep running regularly. Not everyone does 5K by week 9 going by other’s comments. You are well on your way to this. Good luck with your future runs. I’m about to do week 9 run 2 today, but not sure how far I’m running yet, just really glad to be able to run for 30 minutes. I do hope to get to 5K soon though.

Congratulations 🙌🙌 my last run is this week! Not making 5k but can run solid for 30 mins. Can I ask what your average pace is please?

Sure thing, my average pace on last run was 6’29”/KM - that run was 4.65km in 30:10secs

That’s excellent. Can I ask what age bracket you are in?

Sure, I'm 41 and generally in good physical shape (low body fat), but my cardio had always been really poor and I used to get fatigued very quickly. I feel like I have a lot more energy now and a definite spring in my step!
