Yep indeedie - another 20 seconds off and now well into the 23 minute band. I still find it difficult to believe - but keen to keep trying to get sub-21 before the winter comes. I think the change to a watch style device had been great - I can monitor my pace and upping it by even a couple of seconds makes acreal difference. Also, the Garmin analysis tool showed that I wasn't taking advantage of downhill sections. So now I know where I go uphill (and am mentally prepared) and downhill - when I get to THAT tree, start lengthening the stride. As I say, it all makes a big difference.

I'm still not really engaged with the new site though - it's a pain to have to keep logging in ... so unless Zi feel REALLY called to answer a point, I'm sitting on the side as a bit of a voyeur. A shame, but no doubt the absence of my inane rambles is a relief for everyone else.

Malcolm, it's great to see you chipping away at your time!! I have some catching up to do I see ;) Great tips on how I can do this though! I'm missing your 'inane rambles' but I know what you mean about the site; I've got some 'engaging' to do too.

That's a pretty impressive time. You could join us at Cramond one Sauturday. It's reckonned to be one of the fastest Parkruns as it's dead flat but having said that there always seems to be a headwind at one point on the course.

As to this site, it's still irritating me. I keep thinking there must be more going on than I'm seeing. I've lost touch with some of the old regulars and i wish it wouldn't go to the bottom of a conversation automatically. I could go on!
