I have added Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred in with my running in a bid to tone up allover for my holiday in 4 weeks.
Today I did run 3 of week 4 and crikey this week was hard overall, previously run 3 of each week has felt easier than 1 and 2 but today didn't so much, that may be due to the hangover....
I love the 30 day shred, I've done it before and it's just great, but doing it at the same time as running is giving me a massive appetite! I want to eat so much more frequently than normal, I suppose that means my metabolism is speeding up which can only be a good thing, but I know I need to careful. I think little, healthy and often is going to be my tactic going forward.
On a running note, I've noticed a real change in the muscle definition on my calves. And now onto week 5, bit nervous about the-much-talked-about run 3, but also excited to see how I fare, everyone says it's doable so do it I shall!
I love this programme, I've never stuck at exercise like this, astonishing myself!

I was tempted by the 30 day shred, it looks great. I have to get my body out in a few weeks time but I've decided for the first year ever to ditch the bikini, the one piece is back in fashion and I'm gonna work it!
Well done on getting this far, I'm on the final week and have been amazed at how well the plan works.
Well done! I'm doing 30 day shred on the days that I don't run. I admire you if you're doing it and running on the same days. I couldn't manage that. So far I haven't lost any weight but I'm more toned and my clothes are looser and people are starting to notice and are asking if I've lost weight.
Good luck with the rest of the programme and enjoy run 3!
It is hard, but I tend to spread them out and plan little 'rewards' to myself for after/between them. How far are you into C25k and 30 day shred? I'm desperate to see some difference in my stomach, where my physio told me I had barely any muscle strength!
Hi, I've just done week 9 run 2! I've done 30 day shred for 2 or 3 days a week for the last four weeks but am now aiming to do it at least three times a week. I just do phase one though as phase 2 and 3 are impossible. I've just upped my weights to 1.5kg ones to give myself a bit more of a challenge. My stomach is definitely smaller but still needs a lot of work!
