I haven't been on here for a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't been running. In fact yesterday I completed the Greater Manchester 10k. I can hardly believe that 10 months ago I hadn't even run for a bus. My journey from couch to 10k has been nothing less than amazing and I owe it all to you guys so I want to say thank you. This forum was my life saver on the days when I could barely find the motivation to put my trainers on. Now I can't even imagine going a week without getting out there.

To all of you who are setting out or facing that tricky weeks 5 or 7, stick with it. If you let it, this programme might just change your life.

And to all of you who commented on my posts or had my comments - thank you so so much for all your support.

Congrats on your 10k! I was watching on tv with great admiration. Got my first 5k on Sunday then (depending on how we feel) we're signing up for a 10k in August. It's so inspirational reading blogs from people who have achieved so much!

You can do it. If I'm honest I prefer the longer runs now. 10k gives me time to really get into my zone. Which 10k are you thinking of doing?

Jane Tomlinson Run for All in York, it's at the beginning of August so would be just 2 months training. Want to have something planned to keep me focussed though.

I am the exact same as you, C25K has changed my life completely. I have continued to run and challenge myself in time and distance with my Nike App which has been brilliant. I know lots of people have their preferences in what makes their motivation tick. Presently I have set myself a goal this month of May to run 100k, so far Ive done half the distance in 6 runs, averaging 6 to 7 Kilometres... nearly there. Recent run was 12.3 kms, once you set your distance and go beyond its all worth it.. psychologically demanding though with the odd twinge here and there. I would have been interested in a couch to 10k inspirational programme. If you find out let me know. Well done to you as well on your personal achievement and encouragement to all those beginning the C25K Journey for life..
