Should have started W4 today but twinge in my knee put me off, so did another W3 run instead. Went fine and knee seems ok so now I am wondering if I am just putting it off because the thought of 5 mins is daunting when I still get so puffed plodding along for 3 mins. I know I can do it as I did it last year . Only 9 weeks till Race for Life so need to get into gear xx
oh dear !!: Should have started W4 today but... - Couch to 5K
oh dear !!
You will get there - you know we are all routing (?spelling) for you! It is wise to be cautious with twinges. Just keep it slow and steady at first and you will do it! Good luck for next try.
Absolutely agree with Beek, yep, you'll get there and it is wise to be cautious about twinges. You could try some first aid at home: warm bath to soothe legs, and use of something like Deep Heat on the knee to see if that helps. Your knees may just be bruised after an unexpected 'pounding' ie something out out of the ordinary so far as your usual routine is concerned. Definitely suggest you slow down as much as possible (a light jog slower than walking if needs be), don't extend too far, keep your footfall almost under your body and tread as lightly as you can. I'm sure your clever head will win over the reluctant legs soon, and you'll soon be on target for that RfL challenge before you know it. Good luck, Linda
