Wk9R3- that's me done.....felt oddly underwhelming.

Dont get me wrong, I was thrilled to have completed the programme, but I concentrated on keeping going (as per Laura's advice) and finished the run having covered a much shorter distance than I have previously but not feeling particularly out of breath or exhausted.

I would never ever have believed that by the end of wk9 I wouldn't still be purple and heaving for breath as I was for the first few weeks. This in itself is a huge improvement and I'm so glad to have found this programme.

I'm glad to have reached the end with further goals that I want to work towards.

I started this programme wanting to be able to do 3x30 min runs a week. That one is ticked off my list now, so next it's

1. Run race for life in less than 40 mins in June.

2. Enjoy the novelty of running with my own music (if I can get the bpm right!)

3. Improve on my speed so that I can do 5k in 30 mins

4. Improve on my stamina so that I can run on hills/slopes which will mean I can run on a better variety of routes.

5. Hunt out some interesting runs nearby in beautiful countryside and get on out there!

Really glad to have the c25k+ workouts to have as a challenge so will still be using this site for encouragement, motivation and advice!

C25k-ers you are all fab!!!

Now I'm off to get that shiny green badge! :)

Many congratulations upon your graduation! Underwhelmed is just another way of showing how you've taken the whole programme in your stride - now it's time to celebrate then get out to achieve more goals,

Good for you, have a great running future and look forward to hearing of your next few achievements! :) :D

first up .... WELL DONE - YOU DID IT ..... so what if it was a slightly shorter distance, the fact is that you ran 30 mins and were not totally wiped out by it... just 9 short weeks ago you couldn't have said that could you ....

oh - and have you tried Jog.fm - you can search for a track and find the BPM of it and list other tracks with the same BPM

Well done again & Happy Running

Congratulations on completing the programme. I know what you mean about feeling a little underwhelmed. I felt much the same and I was rather jealous of those that cried and whooped for joy. I'm also jealous that you seem to have done the programme with such ease. I am doing 3 x 30 a week but still puff and pant from about 10 minutes on. Maybe it'll get easier after a few weeks.

Good luck with your future goals. They sound really good ones. X

Congratulations! It is a bit strange getting to the end of week 9, but you've got a good list of new targets to aim for. All the best with hitting them! :)
