Whooping Cough!

Just thought I would say hello to everyone :) I have had an awful cough now for 6wks and haven't been able to do any exercise at all. After many visits to the Drs today I have been diagnosed with Whooping Cough! The cough apparently lasts for 100 days and I'm only half way there! I can't believe how much I have missed running outdoors in the spring weather, after achieving my first 10k too.Hope I'll be able to get quickly back into it when I'm well again.I hate to think I will lose that level of fitness after all my hard interval training. It's great reading all your blogs and seeing what you are all achieving.Keep up the good work and I hope to be back running again very soon.

So very sorry to hear of your illness, hope you feel better soon. You are the 3rd adult i have heard of with it, it's usually a childhood illness. Take care and keep us posted on your progress.

Oh no, sorry to hear you're suffering with this. I can imagine how much you're missing running.

Not the kind of 100 day challenge any one would want. I hope that you feel better soon and that you can get back out there. :-)

Ooh you poor thing - there's more of it about in the adult population than is often realised and can be very debilitating, don't need to tell you that. I rather think the weather is mainly waiting for you to get better....

I'm sorry to say i had whooping cough for 5 months and even the slightest exertion (or laughing) caused big bouts of coughing. You must be feeling very frustrated. I hope you start to feel better soon and can get back to running. xxxx
